
Mr. Sharp has been fortunate in his training - His Tae Kwon Do teachers included the legendary Master S.K. Shim and his direct instructor was Dr. Eugene Humesky, 10th dan grandmaster, and one of the highest ranked non-orientals in the world in a Korean art. (Grandmaster Humesky and Mr. Sharp are still very close friends.)
He was awarded the opportunity to hone his kicking skills under the direction of World Full Contact Karate champion Bill Wallace during his Tae Kwon Do Years.
His Aikido sensei was The late Daishihan W. E. Todd, whom Mr. Sharp trained with for over fifteen years. He was awarded his Renshi teaching license from Todd Shihan in 1991.
Mr. Sharp's training in the koryu system of Daito Ryu is under Okabayashi Shogen Shihan of the Daito Ryu Hakuhô Kai, now the Hakuhô Ryu.
Mr. Sharp is the midwest representative for the Hakuhô Ryu in the U.S.
